The Call to Adventure

Every great journey starts with a spark. Or maybe a spark plug, in this case.

For Imperial Motorcycles, that spark ignited on August 1 of this year, when they decided to take their brand online for the very first time.

No social media presence or channels, no email newsletter, no blog, no advertising—just a passionate team dedicated to their craft, ready to make an impact.

They weren’t sure where to begin, but they knew they wanted to reach riders across Greater Vancouver (the shop calls Burnaby, BC home). That’s where Something Great Marketing entered the picture.

Building Momentum: From Zero to Viral

After building Imperial a sharp new website to showcase their services and act as a lead capture tool, we were off to the races.

We kicked off the campaign with a half-day content shoot at Imperial’s shop. Our team arrived with cameras, a strategy, and a lot of encouragement, because like many of our local clients, the Imperial crew had never been on camera before.

Through hands-on coaching and a collaborative atmosphere, we captured authentic, engaging video content that showcased the heart of the shop and the personalities behind the brand.

The results after one month of deploying our social media strategy?

Five viral videos across Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook that racked up over 1.7 million organic views, 52,000+ likes, and thousands of shares and comments in just one month.

Imperial’s channels grew from zero to thousands of followers—and these are real motorcycle enthusiasts, not bots.

Important side note: We did this with zero advertising or paid boosts, 100% of the growth was organic. The videos we created are just that engaging.

The Digital Foundation

But we didn’t stop at social media. We leveraged the new website we built to pump out Imperial’s first-ever blog, launched a brand new email newsletter called Imperial News, and set up a streamlined lead generation system. In just four weeks:

  • Website overall traffic jumped by 287%, with monthly visitors up 260%.

  • Email open rates hit 58%—nearly triple the industry average.

  • Social channels generated over 90 qualified leads (in just 30 days!).

  • Imperial’s newsletter subscriber list is up to over 800 readers.

  • Traffic from Google Search is already up 43% month over month.

Coaching Real People, Creating Real Results

Imperial’s team wasn’t media-trained, but our approach is designed for real people. We coach clients to be themselves on camera, and the results speak for themselves. Their very first Instagram post racked up 475K views (and counting).

Their videos resonated because they felt genuine (which happened because they are genuine), exactly what motorcycle enthusiasts want to see.

The Impact: A Blueprint for Local Business Growth

In just one month, Imperial Motorcycles went from offline to a digital powerhouse. Their brand is now front-and-center in the local motorcycle scene here in Vancouver and beyond, with online bookings, reviews, and leads rolling in. And the buzz is spreading. Other shops and local businesses are taking notice.

If you’re a motorcycle shop or local business, this is what digital marketing done right looks like. We build everything from the ground up, coach your team to shine, and drive real results, fast. Like, Kawasaki Ninja H2R, fast
